Unfinished Production: Part Two

Unfinished Production: Part 2

So what do you want to do? Accountability is one of those things that gets us.

We say we are going to do something, and what do you know someone expects it to be done.

But what about us? When you make a commitment regarding what you plan to do with your career in entertainment, do you actually believe in it?

Well if you don’t now. You must start.

It is imperative to believe in yourself, because there are natural born haters that will attempt to rain on your parade.

When you are pumped up on YES I CAN!, someone will inevitably give you a shot of YOU WILL NEVER MAKE IT!, YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, or IT WILL never happen.

I put this phrases in caps because they scream at you, they follow you and they will decrease you to a point where you can no longer be accountable to yourself.

You have to be prepared when this happens, and believe me it will.

5 Realizations to Finish Your Production

Realization 1:You are the Brand of You: What do you stand for?

If you are with a hungry child and they are shown a strategically shaped yellow letter “M”, will you really be surprised when they request chicken nuggets and fries?

McDonald’s is a brand even a child knows what to expect. One of my favorite Fast company posts discusses this in full. Here is a blurb to peek your interest:

According to Tom Peters:” It’s this simple: You are a brand. You are in charge of your brand. There is no single path to success. And there is no one right way to create the brand called you. Except this: Start today. Or else.”

Realization 2:If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

If you are not planning then you are failing. Right out of the bag you don’t have to have a plan but you should be in the process of forming one. Realization number one ends with “Or else”, Or else what? Exactly! When you plan you are figuring out the or else. What does this mean and how does it affect you? This is all a part of your planning.

Realization 3:There are countless Resources

If you have answered the question of what you want to do. You simple need to Google it . What you want to be, where you want to go, is all based on the work you put in

I you want to be in the entertainment business, then start calling yourself  what you want to be and believe it.

It is okay to call your self these names,
